Nestling on the banks of the River Camel, its unique riverside location, offers its guests total peace and tranquilty, wonderful views and accommodation full of olde-world charm and character.
If a rural setting is a change for you, waking up at Bridge Pool Cottage will be a special treat you will almost certainly wake to the morning song of the birds that visit the garden and rivers edge and the antics of the early morning Kingfisher is a treat not to be missed.
You may also be lucky enough to witness the morning activities of the resident Otters and Stoats, whilst enjoying your Breakfast in the conservatory, with its wonderful views along the river bank.
Night time brings along different creature delights, you will almost certainly see the families of Bats swopping low across the river and on clear, dry nights, you will hopefully see and hear the Owls out for their nightly feed.
The hamlet of Tresarrett, lies on the fringes of Bodmin Moor, with its impressive granite tors and sweeping expanses of open moorland, deep valley rivers and oak woodlands abundant with snowdrops, primroses, bluebells, foxgloves and campion during spring and summer.
The north coast of Cornwall with its dramatic, rugged rocky landscape, large waves and the busier tourist towns and villages is just a few miles away, whilst the south coastline, with its much softer landscape, featuring tidal estuaries and quaint sleepy fishing villages is less than thirty minutes drive to its nearest point.
Much closer to hand is the pretty village of Blisland, just a two minute drive from the cottage, or a very pleasant walk along the footpath.
Here you will find the Blisland Inn, an award winning Camra pub, renowned for its fine selection of ales and good food. There is also a village shop and post office.
Just a little further afield is St Breward and the picturesque village of St Kew, both having wonderful old pubs, serving excellent food.
Bodmin, is our nearest town just 4 miles, where you will find all the usual shops and facilities.
For those that prefer to leave the car behind and travel by bike or foot, the famous Camel Trail, an area of 'Special Conservation' passes right by our cottage, winding its way through some of the most spectacular countryside in Cornwall. Beautiful mixed woodlands, which have an air of timeless peace and quiet about them, whilst the mudflats and salt marshes of the estuary around Padstow, are home to some very important birdlife.
